How to Use the SuperFeed

Supercharge Your Trading with the SuperFeed

When we first built Captain one of our big goals was to save time versus scrolling through Twitter all day to see what FinTwit was talking about. Our solution to that turned into our Trends page and as we used it, we had another idea: What would it look like if we rebuilt Twitter specifically for tracking conversations around stocks?

The answer to that question is our SuperFeed.

We built a chronological feed of the posts we track and augmented each one with all the info we’d want to know to instantly gain context about the stocks being talked about. Here’s some of the highlights:

  1. Every ticker mentioned is highlighted to make it easy to see what stocks are being talked about at a glance

  2. Clicking on any ticker populates the right side of the screen with basic company info, conversation and price history, real time price charts, key fundamental price pivot points, ratings, institutional holders and more.

  3. We’re all about transparency. The bottom of each post summarizes the price of each stock mentioned when the post was made vs it’s current price so you can tell at a glance if someone made the right call.

  4. You can filter the feed by pre-built Captain lists or your own stock / analyst watchlists, in addition to filtering by specific tickers (filtering by a single ticker and reading back through history is a great due diligence tool to see how the conversation has evolved over time and see varying thoughts from different analysts).

  5. You turn on auto refresh for the SuperFeed so you can set it and forget it, checking back in when you can throughout the day.

Best for:
Staying on top of the conversation without jumping between Twitter and a bunch of different stock research services to look up details. Also great for DD on a single stock.

Recommended Use:
Follow the conversation with the “All Analysts” filter and set auto refresh to on. Check in on the conversation at least a few times throughout the day to see what’s being talked about. Pairs well with Periscope, alerts and news where you can see a new trending stock there and plug it into SuperFeed to quickly browse the full conversation details.
